Church By Size Seminars
These five exciting seminars,
designed and led by Doug Anderson, will help pastors and lay teams
understand the unique and important ministry that their church size
offers. The seminars offer a unique view of each size church using a
systems perspective to understand the issues and transition points.
Based on those observations, participants are then given practical models,
principles, and options for effectively dealing with important issues and
opportunities. Making that ministry effective and dynamic is the
purpose of each seminar. These seminars will be particularly helpful
for pastors newly appointed to a church, but even those with experience
will find the principles, insights and models invaluable for their
ministry. Evaluations from participants have been very positive,
with most experiencing numerical growth and exciting, effective ministry
of new outreach, caring systems and increased level of volunteers.
Church Development Seminars
(sponsored by the North Central
Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church)
This series of seminars focuses on
various aspects of church development, including issues for new church
starts, renewing and revitalizing older churches, and starting new
congregations.
Interim Ministry Seminars
These seminars are geared toward ministry professionals who have been or
will be in an interim role, whether just as a transition or in situations
with conflict.
The Stewardship Academy
This systematic approach to stewardship is a thorough training in leading
churches in healthy and Biblical approaches to the use of money and
finances by two gifted, insightful, and nationally recognized and
experienced leaders. This transforming process includes a broad
range of information, ideas, resources, and models of stewardship, with
participants getting assignments to work on between sessions to enhance
and reinforce learnings as applied to their current ministry setting.
The Race to Reach Out
This seminar is designed to help pastors and lay teams understand the
unique and important ministry of hospitality and assimilation of newcomers
and connecting people to the church.
Academy for Ministry Excellence
This new probationers curriculum is presented in a
six-retreat format over a period of three years. This series is meant
to be sponsored by individual annual conferences to assist in the training
and development of new pastors and the laity that support them.
