If you are interested in sponsoring or hosting an individual seminar or a series of seminars, please find general information below under the appropriate heading and then contact us! Church By Size Series This series of five seminars is usually hosted at a single site over the course of a week, with follow-up days scheduled over an additional week a few months later. While conferences usually host an entire series, the number can vary with the conference's needs. This series includes the following seminars: Extending the Church Family: Ministry in a Small Church Congregational Development Series This series of three seminars is most often sponsored by annual conferences within the United Methodist Church, but it is not limited to the United Methodist denomination. A sponsoring conference may send seven members free to each of the three seminars in the series; additional registrants must pay an additional fee each. The three seminars in the series are: First 180 Days as a New Church Start Pastor The cost to become a sponsoring annual conference within the North Central Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church is $2,000.00. The cost to become a sponsoring annual conference outside of the North Central Jurisdiction is $4,000.00. Intentional Interim Ministry Seminars These seminars, which are geared toward ministry professionals who have been or will be in an interim role, can be hosted by a single church or a conference. The Art and Science of Intentional Interim Ministry: Helping Hurting Churches to Heal The Stewardship Academy The Stewardship Academy is held in three sessions over a period of one year and is usually hosted by a conference (although participation is not limited to the conference). The hosting conference may choose to reduce their members' tuition through a sponsorship. Academy for Ministry Excellence This new probationers curriculum is presented in a
six-retreat format over a period of three years. Meant to be
sponsored by individual annual conferences to assist in the training and
development of new pastors. Other Seminars The Bishop Rueben Job Center offers a variety of seminars and workshops that cover a broad range of issues facing churches today and their leaders. These seminars may be hosted or sponsored in a variety of ways by individual churches, conferences or jurisdictions. Contact us for more information.
